Frequently Asked Questions
Absolutely, if you want to enter Australia legally you will need a valid visa. Only New Zealand citizens are able to enter Australia without a visa, and they will be granted one upon entry.
That’s what we are here for! At Concept Migration we specialize in addressing all your visa-related queries. The choice of visa will depend on several factors, including your purpose of travel to Australia, the duration of your stay, and your individual circumstances.
Should your documents be in a language other than English, translation will be necessary. It’s recommended to use a NAATI accredited translator for this purpose. You can find one at www.naati.com.au.
The Australian Immigration Department strives to adhere to service standards which can be reviewed at www.border.gov.au. The actual processing time for visa applications can vary due to factors such as the volume of applicants, public holidays, legislative changes, and especially the accuracy of your application. Engaging a registered migration agent can potentially expedite your processing time by ensuring your application is complete, accurate, and demonstrates your eligibility for the visa.
This will depend on the type of visa you are intending to apply for. For some visas such as Skilled Visas, you must be under 45 years of age, however, for other visas such as Partner visas, there is no Age limit.
For some visas, you will need proven English skills at the time of application, however, there are other types which do not require English (i.e. Family visas, etc.)
You can work in Australia only if you have been granted a visa with Work rights. For example, Tourist cannot work, but Students could.
Usually not, however, applicants can apply for a Bridging Visa B, which will allow them to leave and enter Australia for a certain period if the applicant can prove substantial reasons to travel.
For most visas, an applicant will be able to bring members of the family unit, however, they will need to qualify as secondary applicants.
Certain visa applications necessitate a medical evaluation, typically for countries classified as high health-risk by the Australian Immigration Department. Other factors that might require a medical examination include any health condition, the duration of the stay in Australia, occupation, and whether the applicant will be working in schools or healthcare facilities in the country.
